Diplomatic Village was conceived to solve a longstanding logistical challenge faced by Nigeria’s diplomatic community — the absence of a dedicated, government-recognised duty-free facility within the country. For decades, accredited diplomats and foreign missions had to source goods and services through fragmented, unofficial channels.
Licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria, Diplomatic Village was established as the country’s first and only in-country duty-free hub. Located in the heart of Abuja’s Central Business District — on Olusegun Obasanjo Way opposite Eterna Filling Station — the facility brings together duty-free retail, health, wellness, dining, and professional services under a single, curated address.
Today, the Village serves over 60 diplomatic missions and maintains working relationships with key arms of the Federal Government to ensure a seamless, compliant, and premium experience for the diplomatic community.

Diplomatic Village was officially unveiled by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Central Business District, Abuja, welcoming its first cohort of accredited diplomatic missions and cardholders.
